Dr. Lorraine Chun, FACOG is Board Certified and offers full service obstetrics and gynecological care including high-risk obstetrics. Serving women from adolescence to menopause, Dr. Chun brings a wealth of experience to her patients and offers gynecological surgery, family planning and infertility. She takes the time her patients need to offer personalized care and is multi-lingual including fluency in Spanish.
In the early part of her career, Dr. Chun was a public health professional who educated women about the importance of preventive health services, such as prenatal care, family planning, and pap test screenings. Now, as a physician, Dr. Chun provides those services to our patients. Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Chun believes healthcare should always be delivered in a manner that works best for the patients and their families.
Education and Training
After earning her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1996, Dr. Chun completed the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). Prior to medical school, Dr. Chun earned a Master of Public Health degree from UCLA.

Honors and Awards
Among her many academic honors, Dr. Chun received scholarships from the American Association of University Women, Business and Professional Women/USA, and the Zimmerman Foundation. She also received a National Merit Scholar Commendation, and fellowship awards from UCLA Family Medicine and the U.S. Public Health Service.
Research
Dr. Chun presented a study on uterine rupture in a tertiary setting at UCI. Prior to medical school, she conducted a variety of research projects dealing with public health issues. Her work has appeared in the American Journal of Public Health, Western Journal of Medicine, and the Journal of School Health. She has also written publications for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the U.S. Public Health Service, and the Centers for Disease Control.
Employment
Prior to medical school, Dr. Lorraine Chun was an epidemiology analyst for the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services. Prior to joining Fauquier Health in 2007, Dr. Chun was a private practice physician and partner with a busy Nevada medical group.
