Dr. Kristin Williams may have started her career as an accountant, but her strong desire to help people on a more personal level is what lured her to the medical profession. Her attention to detail and accuracy, strong ethical standards, and thorough and organized approach are important qualities that have served her well in her chosen specialty field. Board certified in neurology, Dr. Williams is clear and logical in thinking, yet warm with a sincere heart. She believes every patient deserves to be treated with the highest level of honesty, integrity and compassion.

Education and Training

Dr. Williams earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Baylor College of Medicine in 1998. Following, she completed the Baylor College of Medicine Internship, Neurology Residency, and Behavioral Neurology Fellowship Programs. Prior to medical school, Dr. Williams earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Midwestern State University.

Research

Dr. Kristin Williams has conducted research on behavioral neurology and neuropsychology at Baylor College of Medicine.

Employment

Prior to medical school, Dr. Williams worked as an agent for the Internal Revenue Service. Prior to joining Fauquier Health as a private practice physician with River Oaks Neurology in 2008, Dr. Williams was a private practice physician with Alpert & Sermas Neurological Associates in Texas. She also was the Assistant Professor and Residency Program Director for the Department of Neurology at the University of Texas Medical Branch.
