Dr. Hodgson, Dr. Majeed, and Dr. Aron take the time to talk each patient through OB/GYN exams, diagnostic testing and treatments so they feel at ease with each visit. Our OB/GYN physicians understand the importance of women’s health issues through all stages of life and are dedicated to providing the highest level of courtesy, compassion and care to each patient. OB/GYN patients are involved with every part of the process and their concerns are addressed at our Fauquier Hospital location in Warrenton, Virginia. Involved patients have a better understanding of what is going on with their bodies and why certain tests and procedures are important. Our OB/GYN physicians empower their patients by giving them a voice; that power translates into comfort.
Dr. Aron’s strongest attribute is his ability to listen, understand and clearly communicate with his patients. Dr. Aron’s philosophy as a provider is to assume a consultant role where he aspires to educate and guide patients throughout the various phases of their lives from the challenges of early adolescence, through their reproductive years and menopause. Many of his patients travel long distances for the person-centered, compassionate care he provides.
Dr. Aron graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania with a BA in Chemistry in 1985. He then obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey: Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine (Now Rutgers University School of Medicine) in 1990. Other areas of expertise include alternatives to traditional therapy, menopause management and accomplishing necessary surgical procedures through minimally invasive ways.
Dr. Aron has two grown children currently in college. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, fishing and hunting just being outdoors.
Fully aware that women tend to focus their energies on taking care of others instead of themselves, Dr. Sumiya Majeed says, “I encourage women to take charge of their own health. To do that, they need the right information. I try to share with patients my understanding and knowledge of what is happening in ways they can understand. In fact, I am notorious for my poorly drawn pictures that I use to help them visualize things!” As an obstetrician, she adds, “I want to spend my time keeping women healthy, providing care throughout pregnancy. Delivery is the most rewarding experience I have encountered.”
Dr. Majeed earned her medical degree from the University of the West Indies. After working as a medical intern in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Pediatrics at Ministry of Health of Trinidad and Tobago, she completed an internship and residency at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Majeed was awarded Resident of the Year, as well as, AAGL Surgeon of the Year Award at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2010. She is a member of the Fellow American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is fluent in Urdu, Hindi and Medical Spanish.
Dr. Majeed joined Fauquier Health OB/GYN after working with Providence Community Health Centers in Providence, Rhode Island since 2010.
Dr. Majeed has a particular enthusiasm for performing minimally invasive surgery, managing low- and high-risk obstetrics, helping women choose the best birth control choices and providing gynecological care for young adults. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband.

Prior to joining Fauquier Health, he was a staff physician at a Navy medical training facility that delivered more than 2,000 babies each year. And he also knows a thing or two about communication.
